48 Hours in Kuala Lumpur: A Local's Itinerary

Kuala Lumpur rewards visitors who mix its skyline landmarks with its street-level food culture. This itinerary is built around a stay at Maison Suites KLCC, five minutes' walk from most of it.

Morning one starts at KLCC Park before the heat sets in, followed by the Petronas Twin Towers skybridge if you've booked tickets in advance. Afternoon is Suria KLCC and a slow lunch at one of the mall's local-food courts.

Evening one belongs to Jalan Alor. Arrive hungry, share several dishes across a few stalls, and don't rush it.
